Coyotes and Skunks

When you kill a coyote does it smell of skunk?About 60% of the coyotes I kill smells like it just feasted on a skunk.

The TWRA says skunk is very low on the coyote food list.

I didn't think there was anything that wasn't on the food list! I even find shampoo bottles right alongside the beer cans where they cracked 'em all open to taste. Jimmie

Terry, I find that most coyotes themselves smell alot like skunks. Expecially when you skin them or have a good size exit wound in one. I think it is just the nature of the beast. A wet dog has nothing on the aroma of the canis lantrans. But I would rather contend with that smell than the alturnative.
