Coyotes in VA?

I was wondering if many of you see coyotes in Virginia and where in the state you have seen them? I live between Martinsville and Danville and have only seen one or two. However I have been told that if the number of coyotes starts to increase that the number of foxes will start to decline, is this true? Just wondering because two years ago we were over run with foxes they were everywhere now I haven't seen any all hunting season.

Hi Neighbor! We used to have boo coo foxes up until about 1986-87 or so.Thats just after the first coyotes showed up,now it's rare to see a fox.I don't see lots of coyotes but I rarely ever see a fox now.Can't say for sure if the coyotes have lead to the fox demise or not
