CZ 512 Tactical and suppressor issues

I have a CZ 512 Tactical that I recently started running suppressed. After maybe 100 rounds I startetd having failure to fire issues and noticed that my groups were opening up. So I figured it just needed a good thorough cleaning. Did that and it seemed to take care of the problem at first but after only about 25 rounds the same issues started up. I took the can off and the failure to fire issue went away. I am wondering now if this is just not a good platform to suppress. Did an internet search but nothing on this kind of issue with the 512. Am using 40 grain CCI hollow points. Anybody have any suggestions? Would trying different ammo possibly help? I'm running a Spectre 22 on the 512 and no issues to speak of until I put the can on it. Thanks in advance.

Putting a suppressor on my Marlin .22 WMR semi-auto caused it not to run. Way over gassed.

What, exactly do you mean by FTF though? Does it just go click? Or does it not even cock? My Marlin fires the first round just fine but fails to cock so the second round is a FTF. Just so over gassed the bolt is slamming back too fast for the trigger to reset. If I can find a heavier guide rod spring to slow down the bolt I believe it would fix the issue with mine. I've so far failed to find such a spring though. Have tried stacking a shorter heavier spring, got it running about 40%.

Kind of a dumb thing to do in the first place, trying to suppress a semi-auto .22 Mag. It's not enough quieter to make any difference. Sure wish I'd have just left mine alone.

Should have been clearer on the FTFs. Action cycles. Indents on my brass. Recycle those same rounds with the suppressor off and they fire. As to suppressing a 22 mag semiautomatic I don't see how it's any different from suppressing any other semi auto shooting supersonic rounds. With the hearing loss that I already have every little bit helps.

Strange. Can't think of how a muzzle attachment is effecting hammer strike or firing pin force if it's resetting and cocking normally.

Mine just isn't much quieter. Still want earpro for sure. Over all I regret having it threaded.

Yeah it is strange. The only thing I can think of is that the chamber is getting gummed up from the combination of the suppressor and naturally dirty nature of rimfire rounds and the cartridges eventually don't seat properly. If it was something that occurred only after heavy use I could live with it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I might call CZ and see if they have any suggestions.

About 30 years ago I had the bright idea of having my H & K 22 Magnum cut and threaded for a suppressor. This was a wonderfully accurate German weapon but I had a Class 3 and almost everything that I had at the time was naturally cut and threaded. After putting the AWC Exeter on the gun after about 20-25 shots the gun would not fire. Turns out the blowback of unburned powder in the action gummed up everything including the stout firing pin springs, actually two springs together. It cost me as much as I paid for the gun to put a Douglas Premium barrel on it.
