CZ Alpha 600

Anyone have one? I'm still waiting on my rings from the store that ordered them for my Ruger. So after I checked on them I did a little walk around looking at the new rifles. That's when I saw the CZ. They had several different calibers but the one that caught y eye was in 762x39. It had a threaded 18" barrel and the dreaded plastic stock. LOL, I know me and plastic wouldn't last long. And no, I didn't buy it, just looking around. It did tip my interest a little though. Nice and light and packs enough punch to take down a hog or deer and would be handy in a blind or out the window of a truck. Just wondering if any of you have one or have seen them yet?????

I handled one yesterday in 6 Creedmoor…it was on the used rack. The barrel was touching the forend on one side. The Magazine retention springs were def not a good design and seem destined to fail. The bolt handle sticks straight out. Not an ounce of quality compared to the 527. I doubt aftermarket stocks will become available any time soon. I’d pass for sure. But if you like it go for it…I’d look for a 527 or try a Howa if 7.62x39 is on your menu

I had a Howa in 7.62x39 a few years ago. IIRC it had a .311 bore instead of .308 making bullet selection a little tough. Accuracy was just so so also. Actually I'd rather have a 300 BO and I don't think the CZ 600 comes in that caliber. I didn't see it when I was researching but I didn't get really serious either. Fact of the matter, right now I'm not to serious about buying one in any caliber. LOL, just thought they were kind of a neat little rifle. I sure don't "need" one right now. Maybe after they have been out for a while there will be more reviews on them and a few options for upgrades.
