CZ models and Savage models 22mag

I have a CZ 452 American in 22 mag and I love it. Also have a 22lr in the CZ also. Both very good shooter right out of the box. Triggers need a little work but after that they r good to go.

I had a marlin 22 Mag. years ago it shot patterns not groups, sold it and picked up a CZ 527 22 Hornet swore Id never own another 22 Mag. Now that CZ is replacing the 452 with the 455 I decided that maybe I should get one in 22 Mag.to go with my 3 452 22s and 452 17 HMR. Found a used 452 FS picked it up and mounted a 2-7x Redfield I had laying around and headed to the range 50 yd groups all under 3/4" 100 yd all under 1 1/4". Next to my 452 FS 22 this is my favorite rimfire.

I own 3 Savage centerfires and man do they shoot just not the best looking guns in the safe, dont own any savage rimfires they look to cheap but if they shoot like all the savages Ive been around you cant go wrong buying one. The CZs to me look and feel more like a rifle should. Handle both makes and pick the one you like.

I like the CZ's but I also like my Savage BRJ. The 2 issues I have with the BRJ is the weight, and the laminate stock. I dropped the gun off of my bipod and dinged the stock up on the handlebars of my 4 wheeler. Still crying about that one. The CZ's have great wood too so I would be just as upset. The BRJ shoots lots of ammo fairly well. Here's a range report I did on the BRJ. I paid a bit over $400.

Well, I guess I will post about my Savage...

Here is my 93... I love it.

I lost zero (my fault). Went back to the range. Here are the first five shots... 50 yards.

The fifth shot was me making sure I was on the paper. I was 50 yards away and I couldn't tell if they were all the same hole. They were.

I didn't know how I was gonna like them. Now that I have shot it for a while, I really like the way it shoulders and locks up. Good luck!

I have a CZ 455 american in 22 mag. Im very happy with it, its accurate and looks and feels like a real rifle.
If you can get past the backward saftey on the CZ it's a very nice rifle.
The "adjustable" trigger leaves something to be desired.

Its not hard to get past the safety..IDK if I would call it backwards. I prefer it that way, Makes sense to me.
Think about it

You pull a hammer...back
you rack a slide.. back
you slide a pump... back

I have the savage with the plain stock and thin barrel because that's all that's offered in a left hand version. As it is, off sand bags, it's a sub 1" gun at 100 yds with the cheap CCI Walmart HPs. I can hunt it at night in crappy conditions and not worry about dinging it up. For me it works just fine.

Never shot a CZ so can't comment on them. I do like the looks of them though.

My tree rat hunting partner just bought the new savage package its camo and comes with a scope. I dont know anything about the scope but we sighted it in the other day. It impressed me big time. 50 yds = 1 hole. 100 yds it will shoot real close to 1". We didnt measure anything as far as groups, but that little thing shoots awesome. I have a marlin and its a nice gun and i thought it shot good. Its 50 yd groups are like that savages 100. Guess im gonna have to buy me a savage now!

Here's mine. Might not be quite as accurate as a good bolt action, but it's more than adequate. Killed many a tree rat, a bunch of Groundhogs and a few Turkeys. Very light and easy to point.

I recently did some work for a gun shop that had went out of business and took several New in Box 93FVSS's as barter for my work. I'm pretty pleased with the one that I've shot and am going to keep for myself. It's fairly accurate and just heavy enough to lay solid on a rest, yet not too heavy to carry around all day.

Had a Savage 93 BVSS in 17 HMR and a CZ 452 American in 22 Mag. The CZ is a much nicer made rifle and mine shot much smaller groups than the Savage.
