Dakota Purchases Rights to PPC Cartridges

Dakota Arms has agreed to purchase all rights to the PPC family of cartridges from Dr. Louis Palmisano.

Dakota will sell both brass and loaded ammo. Dakota is also undertaking some engineering work with Lapua to improve on the already tight tolerances of the benchrest brass.

I edit but don't know why it wasn't picked up. Dakota didn't purchase the case rights only only chamber rights. Dr. Palasano and Ferris Pindell were partners and Ferris is developing the 6ppc case and ammo in partnership with Laupa from the way I understand it. Could be wrong. Big question is whats going to happen to the laupa 220 russian case. The chamber rights aren't much unless you can get ammo Cooper chamber his rifle for 22 and 6ppc. Brass is suppose to be ready for 2006 Super Shoot. If anyone can do the case it's Ferris he is a good machinist. He is also know for his bullet making dies.

That is the big question, isn't it. It will also be interesting to see what they do with the neck thickness dimentions when they make 6 PPC cases. I am guessing they will leave the neck for BR Shooters to turn down to whatever thier chamber is. It will be interesting to see what the price is, and how the manufactured brass holds up in competetion. I have a bunch of Sako 6PPC brass that will not take the pressure I'm currently shooting. Lapua 220 brass has no rival for 6PPC cases at the moment.
