I read on another forum that he told his sister or such that he gave his soul for the new truck he was driving. Kyles truck!
RIP CPO Kyle
Yep, all vets can't be lumped in the same "hero" category, and it annoys me when people automatically want to give the veteran an automatic free pass on bad behavior.
He had anger issues, he had threatened to kill his family and then shoot himself. Chances are he had "issues" before he went in. Not every veteran can be treated as a hero because not every one is.
Contrary to the simple logic about PTSD, those who are most together and with it going in are going to be the ones that deal with war the best. It's the ones who are least equipped to deal with what they experience that are the most susceptible to being traumatized by what they go through. And then there are the extremes that few are going to deal with well no matter how together they are going in.
Kyle not only did his job beyond well, he was making a huge difference for returning veterans who do deserve all the help they can get and are willing to accept.
