Dennis Kirk E Caller is Crap

Just a word of caution to those of you looking to buy a new electronic caller, DON'T buy this one. At low volume you can hear CD motor noise through the speaker and at high volume the distortion sounds like you're running it through a Marshal pre amp on 11 (a little spinal tap humor). They claim the remote will go 400 yards but I can't count the number of times the thing failed at 40 because I wasn't in perfect position with it. All in all I'm pretty disapointed with it. It's made by Nite Lite and was a public address system for tour bus announcers. They should have left it that way.

I ordered a Dennis Kirk calling video once and it was a joke. Nite Lite gave me my money back. I will never order anything with his name on it again.

I bought a new Johnny Stewart MS612 long range about 1 1/2 months ago. I am so dissatisfied with it it isn't funny. The first one I got was bad. I put a tape in it and it wouldn't eject it. So I took it back. They gave me another new one. After about two weeks of use the power button quit working. It was stuck in the on position. I called and complained and they told me they were having issues with the buttons. They were going to send me a new button but in the mean time I got one at my local Radio shack store. The last 6-7 nights of hunting I had problems with the volume button. When you go to turn the volume up it cuts in and out and cracks real bad. It definitely doesn't sound normal and I'm sure it has scared some animals away. Now I have to send it to Texas to have it serviced. I wish I would of saved my money, because i feel this purchase was a waste. I used to own a 512 and only replaced the belt in it. It worked wonderful.

I have a JS 512, no complaints other than the speaker wire. I recently purchased a Dennis Kirk cassette caller and its great and the remote works like a charm!! So far I have had no probs with either caller........the reason I purchased the DK caller with remote was because I couldnt find a JS remote and also I called JS and was told they discontinued that remote. She said another remote was on the drawing board and that it would be more affordable. I have no idea who Dennis Kirk is but i take it he isnt liked by many ........I will keep yall posted about the DK cassette caller but so far I'm very pleased with it.

I have had my Kirk cassette caller with remote for 4 years now. I have brought in alot of yotes and some bobcats with that unit. Only problem is one sound at a time.

I had a JS 512 before that, no complaints there either. I only us JS tapes though, don't care for any of Kirks tape.

But alot of the other callers out now, I didn't see back then. I'm upgrading soon, just waiting for the reviews on Predator Spankers new toy then I'll decide what I want next.

Kirks remote as far as the distance, kicks butt. Just to heavy to tote around compared to what's out now.

I just want to be able to use more than one sound at the touch of a button. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I own a few Dennis Kirk video's and won't ever buy any of them again. In my opinion they are junk. The camera quality is very poor and you spend half the time looking into the sun and the other half looking at the ground with constant shell shock action when the shot is taken. If you get motion sickness you would not want to watch them on a big screen or you will vomit. Poor products.
