All of them work. In my opinion I would go with a diaphragm howler. You can put a couple of them in your pocket and you’re good to go. I also think they offer the most realistic sound.Takes some time to master it but once you do they are great tools.


I do like the power howler style too. The one I have is made with a cow horn made by Rich Higgins a number of years ago. Sounds very realistic.


And I’ve used a number of open reed howlers that have worked well too.


Bottom line pick one and become proficient with it and you’ll call coyotes.
