Difference in factory loads?

If I have two boxes of shells (270 caliber for example) and one is i.e. core-lok and the other is say hollow point, will there be any difference in the trajectory or grouping if I use the same manufacturer and the same bullet weight.

My actual scenario is that I have a box of Rem. Whitetail Pro .270 caliber in a 130 gr. bullet. I am going to buy another box of 130 gr. but Wally World doesn't have any of the Whitetail Pro, just Core-Lok bullets. Is there going to be any difference? Thanks for any input.

Yes, just check the ballistics table posted by the manufacturer.
You should take your rifle to the range and measure groups and point of impact for each load....

You are correct. As for the OP, there is a very good chance they will shoot different. I've had bullets of the same brand and weight shoot as much as 6 inches different, and some as little as 1/2 an inch. The only way to tell is to shoot them. I personally couldn't go hunting without shooting my gun with the EXACT ammo I was going to hunt with. It would drive me nuts the whole time I was hunting, not being completely sure of where I would hit.

Absolutely correct, considering the small kill zone on some animals, its crazy not to sight-in your rifle for the ammo you're going to use.

Working for an ammo manufacturer I'm confident in saying you cannot expect two different types of ammo to shoot the same. Even the same ammo from a different lot number should be re-checked and sighted unless you do not plan on shooting more than 50yds. In all reality different powders are used on the same loads depending on availabilty, and they can have a major effecy on POI.
