I'm thinking about getting one of these but unsure if it's legal in my state to use a night vision scope. I'm in Vermont and no artificial lights allowed is the ir illuminator an artificial light?

Does this work without the IR iluminator as it appears it may be illegal (IR iluminator) in my state?

I too have been looking at the N550 for a while. Interesting.
Here is yet another one that is getting some pretty good reviews. It works a bit different. The NS-200 is the one to purchase if someone is interested. The NS-50 is more for close range with air rifles or rimfires. This unit can be shipped to the USA. I inquired with the company.
