Digital trail cameras

Here are a few pics from my new cuddeback capture ($200.00) It's only 3 megapix so the pics are a little grainy but trigger time and battery life are great. [image]http://

Reconyx is the only way to go. I have used them for the last 2 years. Was using the stealthcam but they only seem to last a year if you are lucky. Also the Reconyx will take at least 15,000 pics off of the 6 C cell batteries it holds, that is a combination of day and night photos. They are more towards the upper dollar range, however you get what you pay for. I started with the RC-55 and now have some of the RC-60's also. In my mind trigger time (how fast it will catch something moving) is one of the most important things.

the new cuddyback was just released... our local distributor just got them in stock recently... i sent a buddy down today to pick one up for me.. going to give it a shot.

Look at the reviews of the Scout Guard 550 at http://www.chasingame.com/ I bought one, $200 with free shipping. I have had it about a month, and love it. Fast, good on batteries, 5 mega pixels, small, and infra red. Here is one photo that I got the other night. The daytime photos are great.

Great camera for the money.

The 3MP Cuddeback has better looking pictures than my Bushnell 5MP! Cheaper too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif those are great photo's. The Reconyx looks great, just a little pricey for me. I'll have to check out the Camtrakker that got mentioned. All through this post I've seem some really great pics from what I would consider lower Megapixal cameras. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif The Bushnell just doesn't' cut it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I've had real good luck with my Moultrie D-40 camera. About $100 from bass pro. I have taken over 1000 pics with it and it does a great job. Battery life is excellent as well. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable quality camera.

I've got one of these too. Mine has been out for 3 months, and hundreds of pictures later, is still working great. I've replaced the batteries once, and still have over 50% remaining on the second set. It's far better than the Stealth cam I used to have.

I bought one for my son for Chrismas. Love the small size. Will probably replace my own Moultrie I40's with this little guy!
