No, the 5.7 x 28 cartridge has too small a base diameter to be used on any Dillon equipment.

Good Morning.

I know you probably did not like seeing that subject line, but it is true.

I own the new 5.7 usg pistol, and I am looking to reload the 5.7x28.

I have been told that Dillon presses do not support this caliber. Is this true?

(I understand I have to buy the dies elsewhere)

I have heard fabulous things about the "blue" but the 5.7x28 is the reason I want to start reloading with the progressive press.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I have looked at the
Hodgdons site, no reloading info
Hornadys site, no info on shell holders but they have dies?
RCBS doesnt list a shell holder on their site but....

I did a fast search on the web, found some stuff, nothing to cross ref.
I went to midway, looks like the only shell holders in existance are a RCBS #45, and lee, for the single stage, if hornady has one for the LnL, they have yet to update their site or release it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif When you do a search on midway for the 5.7 x 28 it will pull up everything anybody makes for it. Doesnt look like midway has brass for it either.
I couldnt find any case diamention data either, a 305 to 306 sounds close to a hornet buy thats a rimmed case.

Check the loading manuals to see if any pistol cases are near this measurement. Off the top of my head, close to a .32ACP but don't hold me to that.

25 auto has a .302 rim and a .252 groove
now a 30 carbine has a .360 rim and a .310 groove
32 auto has a .358 rim and a .314 groove

A 25 auto might work, however Blue doent make a 25 auto shell plate. Thats one of those calibers that fell off long ago. If the 380 is an odd duck, the 25 would be a rare goose.

Hasnt this 5.7 x 28 been around awhile?
