Discontinued Stoney Point shooting sticks

I dusted off an old pair of Stoney Point shooting sticks that are designed to snap to a grommet that attaches to the front swivel stud on a bolt action rifle. I'm trying to find the grommet adaptor that attaches to the front swivel stud. Does anyone know where I can get one? I have found a Primos Rapid Pivot bipod shooting stick that looks similar in design to my Stoney Point sticks but don't know if you can buy just the swivel stud adaptor. Does anyone know more on this?

I have a couple variations of the exact setup you are speaking of, I believe. A set made by primos and another that I picked up at a gun show called Pole cat. The Pole cat originally started off as a tripod. The dealer selling them had a hard time moving them so he cut a leg off of each set to make bipod set up out of them. I can use either set on either grommet base. I'd be willing to bet that yours would be interchangeable as well. I've been searching for more of the grommet bases as well to mount onto other rifles so I can use the sticks on multiple rifles without having to move the grommet around.

I see you are from SE CO. I'd almost bet a $100 you bought that modified Pole Cat tripod from me! lol I modified a BUNCH of those Pole Cat tripods and sold them at gun shows as bi-pods. Maybe at a Lamar or Trinidad show? Maybe Pueblo?

I may have some of those snap on/off adapters that attach to the swivel stud stashed somewhere. Also, I have some of the original rubber Y yokes that the legs attached to. The ones I have are the original ones that Stoney Point made. (better rubber IMO)

If you are interested let me know and I'll look in my stash.

I took a look at my part that attaches to the sling swivel. Looks like I'm missing the metal pin that goes through the swivel and the silver threaded bushing. I'm guessing the threaded hole on the button for a secondary sling swivel attachment is 10/32. Does that sound right to you guys?

I looked and I do have some. I'll try and post a picture of the pieces.

The primos parts are interchangeable with the Stoney point parts. I agree with samsquanch, the Stoney yokes were better material. Lasted way longer than the primos yokes.

Won't bet you 'cause I'd prolly be out $100! lol. I picked the set up at a show in Pueblo, been several years back now! I'd sure like to get my hands on a few more bases (the part that attaches to the sling stud) and maybe an extra yoke in case I break one.

@Darknight, I just got these from doggin coyotes. If it’s just the pin you’re short, I’ll dig out my micrometer this evening and give you dimensions on it. Doubt a pin would be hard to make rather than buying one somewhere.

Ok, got batteries! Pin measures .5 long x .125 diameter. Which is 1/2” x 1/8”. Don’t think I can help with the thread size though. Pretty fine threads though.

Hi, I’m in Australia and been using the Stoney Point Polecats for years. I have a few parts that are broken….the telescopic joiner fittings, have attached pics it’s the white part and the black plug and cover.

Are these parts still available. Have found parts that are similar for similar purpose even here in AU. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey buddy in Australia, I have a bunch of those parts. You pay the shipping, and I'll send as many as you need.
