unfortunately my scope maker doesn't have a shade for my scope so I got to thinking go get a black rubber pipe/boot from the plumbing store and slide it over the bell of the scope. I have a 44mm bell and used a 1 1/2 rubber plumbing fitting and put a drop of gun oil on it and lubed it and slide it right on over the bell. cost me 2.99 at lowes. too dark when I got home to see how mush light it lets is but its bigger than the bell so it should let the same amount it but just keep glare out. never used one before so hoping this works. thinking of doing this with all my scopes. you can also get different lengths and use it like that. cant post pics but if you want to see pm me and ill email them to you.
