Does anyone use bird distress at night for coyote?

I was wondering if anyone uses bird distress sounds at night for coyote. I want to change up things a bit from rabbit distress at night. Does it matter at all? If you have, does it work for you? Any and all info derived from experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

I like woodpecker for cats and will toss some bluejay out from time to time, Tony T used bird a good bit the nights we hunted.

i like to mix it up on returning to a spot

Thanks for the replies. It is quite unanimous that I should go out and make it happen with some bird sounds. Didn't know how "odd" it would be or not, as I had never tried it yet.

I agree with BAYSTATE, critters don't use reason. They don't set there and say to thimeselves, Hey thats a bird, what's he doin out here tonight. I think it is just the high pitch of a screaming pray that gets them to come to dinner.
It's like the voters he was talking about....
EDIT::: I guess I better edit this. Don't want to get kicked off the forum for not being politically correct. It was the truth [beeep].
