DPMS 7.62X39?

Question-
Does DPMS make a 7.62 X 39 AR-type rifle? And where on the gun would it be stamped w/ caliber or model #?

Reason I am asking is a guy I work with and his brother purchased a DPMS AR, and were told it was 7.62x39. They bought some ammo for it and planned to try it out this weekend. The guy I work w/ remarked this morning that the ammo "looked like it was too short for the clip". I told him to not fire the thing until it was checked out. I've never heard of one chambered in this caliber, but I am unfamiliar with their product. Figured someone here might know.

Yes they show on the web site that they will make one.
If it's like other barrels , it's stamped just forward of the gas block or in that area.
 

This gun turned out to be a .308!! After I got the responses on this, I printed them out and told my buddy to look the thing over before he shot it to be sure he had the right ammo. He said Monday it was marked .308, and they were going back to whoever they got it from to see why it was different than expected...
Thanx for the help, I'm glad this didn't turn out badly.......
