Anyone have one? Are they a step up from the standard entry level carbine?

I am tiered of lugging my heavy 24 inch bull barrel bushmaster from stand to stand. I have been looking at carbines but I do not want a flash suppressed and am not real pleased with the low-end run-of-the mill carbines I am finding.

I can pick up a sweet 16 from a private buyer but NIB for $1500. This is about 300-400 more than they were before the craziness happened.

Any imput would be great! Thanks

You shuold get with DMPOWDER. His shoots pretty good.

Check it out in the "semi-auto shootout" thread. Not sure what all he has done to it but it is impressive.

I love mine. It's accurate and not too heavy. Trigger sucks, so plan on replacing that. You might want to look at a Rock River Varmint with a16" barrel if you can find one. Pretty much the same rifle with a much better trigger.

Good luck!

I've got two and like them a lot (one is NIB). Out of all the AR's I've owned I like them best. I have been shooting Hornady 55vMax and it will shoot less than MOA. I have had some pretty nice AR's (Les Bauer, black rain, RRA) and don't think there is a dimes worth of difference ( let the hating begin) lol. They are not light but not too heavy. Only downside in my opinion is the stainless barrel. I wrap mine in camo tape for hunting and am good to go.

I have the sweet 16 upper on mine and love it. I shoot 50gr. Vmaxs with 26.0gr of varget. Getting 1/2 group @100 off da hood of my jeep. Waiting for it to warm up to get on da bench to see wat it will really do.
