Keep right on leaning toward the Rock River if your willing to pay a little more. Both are sound AR-15s for the most part.
An AR configured for calling coyotes will likely be a little light for a serious p-dog popper. If your not walking around, a heavy barrel will work for coyotes, providing your limited to one upper. Most of the coyotes I shoot are targets of opportunity and not called in. I also shoot plenty of jackrabbits. The Red-Dot is for close in shots and on runners. My RRA Varmint 24in is mostly a p-dog shooter.
