I have the RRA A4 Varmint 24" and wouldn't trade it for the world. That being said, I think all the major manufacturers are quality weapons, whether it be RRA, DPMS, Colt, Armalite, Bushmaster, Remington, they all are quality material. I would stay away from Frankenstein rifles made by multiple manufacturers. They can save you money by being milspec, but I think I'd prefer to have everything made and assembled in the same factory. Not saying that you can't piece together a good rifle, just saying it is easier when all the parts are tested to the same standards. The one main exception is having a builder here custom fit it together for you. That way one person sees your rifle from start to finish. Good luck in your search, the AR is a wonderful platform.
