Anybody know anything about them? Building a beater / truck AR and saw they had there ZM-4 uppers, less BCG, for $275.

Curious if anyone had any dealings with this upper and whether it was worth the money. As I said, not looking for a 1/4" moa rifle here, just a fairly accurate truck beater for those stray yotes, turtles, crows, etc.
Thanks in advance
Tony

Ordered one last week on Monday, but it hasn't shipped yet. I will let you know when it gets here. It is for my first build, it seemed to get good reviews over on arfcom.

Shipping and updates are terrible but they make a pretty decent upper. I'm pleased with the middy I ordered.

roughly how long did it take to get your order, my last email from them was ten days ago, two days after I ordered, and it said that it would be "a few days" before my order shipped and I haven't heard anything yet. I figured it would a few weeks when I originally ordered, just curious.

So, let me get that straight? $275 less $100 bolt carrier and $25 charging handle? Thats a $400 upper...Cant we find them cheaper complete somewhere else? I'm not tryin to be smart, just tryin to think this out a little? Oh ya, plus shipping costs???

I got a notification from them a week after it was delivered that my order had shipped. They aren't doing a very good job with the updates obviously.

I'm not sayin that I can exactly, but I know I can get a stag flat top upper complete, for 465. I know that's not shipped but it's close, and it's retail so I bet it can actually be found cheaper somewhere else. I dunno, just a thought.

Oh ya, I found it too. Rguns.com These are a better deal in my opinion than DSA. Im gonna make one of their uppers my new 22 conversion gun.

Rguns.net There is an Rguns.com, but it's a different store. Rguns.net has good prices that're hard to beat. I ordered an upper from them awhile back, I was pretty sure I ordered a light weight upper but got an M-4, the M-4 was $30 or so more which is one of the reasons why I wanted the light weight one. When I called them about it, the grumpy guy on the phone said that I got what I ordered and they were out of the light weights anyway. I'm pretty sure they switched it on me and I payed the extra for it.

Good prices, some good - some bad customer service. After reading several websites, they have a pretty mixed following. It's really hit or miss with them.

Remember, when you put a conversion in a standard AR type barrel, the twist rate is much faster than what a 22lr is designed for and your accuracy will reflect that somewhat. In a true dedicated upper barrel, your twist is going to be 1-12 to 1-14 and it has a real chamber. The conversion kit has a fake 223 case that fits into your barrel and the bullet goes into that fake case. I don't think there's any rifling in it, it's just a big jump to the barrel riflings.

I had to get an adapter from Spikes for my CMMG conversion that took the place of the fake case so it would fit properly over the Spikes barrel I bought.

Make sense? I guess I should take some pics so it's easier to understand.
