Shot was 70 yds, offhand on the move. Picked a lane thru the woods & sent one on it's way. Double lunger, with full penetration from the 90gr Sierra Gameking. The buck only went 40-ish yards & face planted (see dirt on tines

) He's got cool 'crabby claw' fronts...

Got the shot on video, but the camera wasn't zoomed in real well, so it's kinda tough to see. I saw antlers & kinda went on "auto-pilot"

but at least I recorded something, LOL! That buck is definitley 'better than average' for where we hunt, so I'm pretty proud & lucky to have been able to take it...

Anyhoo, this little 18" AR-15 continues to keep me smiling! What a great, handy little platform to hunt with. On the ground off stix or offhand from a treestand, it just feels & balances so nicely. And obviously, the .25 DTI cartridge provides enough smackdown for a goodly sized northern whitetail. I'll keep using those 90gr Gamekings until they stop workin'...which prolly won't be anytime soon!

Thanks Mike!!!

Congrats on the kill. I've been talking to Mike @ Dtech and he says the 25DTI is nasty!! Well I guess the proof is in the puddin!

Congrats. Really nice buck. I was glad you got one because I wanted to see how well those 90 grainers would work. I got a 6 point with a 100 grain Swift A-Frame --- mine was pretty much the same shot as yours. Your exit hole is larger ---- much to what I would expect.

SOOOO ---- there have been three bucks total that have fallen to the 25 DTI. Mike, Myself and Knockemdown! At least that we know of!!!
