It is pretty nice, I have one on my chest rig right mounted in-front of me, so Remote is at my finger tips. I have it set-up so it just slides up, with screen facing me just below my chin. Keeps the screen glow hidden and easy quick see control panel and buttons.

Just received my TX1000 pouch and it's awesome.
It holds my remote upside down so the tether doesn't hit the buttons and the call doesn't fall out when bending over.
Don't even need the elastic to hold it in, but it's good to have so it doesn't fall out when the hunt's over and it's thrown into the gear bag.

Glad you liking it . and with call Upside Down... LOL . if works for you, then it's All Good . You got to do, what you need to make things work for you.
Ya that 'thick coil' security tie your using looks a little beefy if you slide it into the pack with the Call . ( Me ).. I 'ghetto it' , just use a length of old thin cord tied to the Call and connected to the chest rig for accidental ground drop . It GOOD to have your e-call on retention cord, There been a few times I intentionally drop my call under pressure to get my hands on my rifle Fast .

'ideally' .. Pouch actually designed to have E-controller slid into it, with screen facing towards the user, and antenna pointing Up . It's pulled-up, easy see the screen and control buttons, also any screen Illum. is not pointed outward. Also when upright and screen facing the user. The elastic bungee keeper of pouch, is situated on antenna side to just loop it over the Antenna to add retention security when call not in use.

I’m like Shoots 100, in that I drop my TX1000 into my pouch upside down as well. I run a Reese Outdoors chest pack and whatever their deep accessory pouch is for my remote.

@IndexFinger it seems like if you left cutouts on the bottom for the antenna to slide through you could run it either way.

I like not having the antenna sticking out the bottom.
The reason I have the retention cable is because I was always knocking the remote out of the converted cell phone pouch because I'd hit the antenna sticking out the bottom and I would end up just doing a half assed holstering job because the flimsy cell phone pouch was a pain in the ass to get the remote into under the gun.
The bottom of the remote protruding out of the pouch is easier for me to grab a hold of and find with gloves on compared to the thin antenna.
I can always just yank on the retention cord and pull it out of the pouch too.
This pouch can be used either way and is a great design.

I just use the pouch for transporting my remote to my setups. It’s tethered to a D-ring on my pack with a spring loaded clip and dropped into the pouch antenna down. I looked, it’s Reese’s AR15 Mag/Bottle Pouch. It has a magnetic/buckled flap, but I just tuck the flap inside the pouch and drop the remote in. It’s deep enough that the entire remote is inside the pouch. Once setup, I simply unsnap from the D-ring on my pack and tether my remote to a loop of paracord on my tripod leg and lay it face down in a tripod basket, which by the way, is also made by IndexFinger, and is nicely made.

Great looking pouches and it's 100% none of my business what another man does with his money, but man... Some of y'all are like OCD to the max. I carry my remote and call in a $10 camo book bag from walmart then when I am calling I just slide it in my pants pocket. LoL

IDK about being OCD to the max about carrying my remote, but you could say I’m definitely OCD about how I hunt!

That said, come on up here to NY around January and see how your pants pocket system works out for you! Lol…

I used a converted $10 cell phone holder for years and as you'd expect it performed like a $10 dollar cell phone holder.

You wear pants when hunting ?

Well. There is a month or so that I go out in shorts a lot. That's until the mosquitoes and snakes get too bad.

From a cut/design perspective it something to think about, It good to get this forum info exchange, as i had no idea some people like carry e-remote 'antenna down' for different reasons for field carry .
