E-caller opinions

I am looking at picking up a new e-caller and I was wondering what you guys think about the Johnny Stewart Executioner, and the FoxPro Shockwave. Let me know your experiences and opinions on both, also which one would you go with?

I don't think there is even a decision to be made. Shockwave no question. The shockwave remote and caller features far exceed the JS, especially for the same money. Foxbang, Foxmotion (which I love and use all the time) Foxfusion (also used a lot), the ability to categorize calls on the remote, programmable sequences...the list goes on.

If I had unlimited financial resources and could collect callers like I would like I might buy a JS, but not when I can only have just one. Plus, FoxPro is made in the US and customer service is 2nd to none. I could be wrong, but I think the JS calls are probably made oversees.

I own a Shockwave and have only seen the JS reviewed on youtube and some online articles...just to keep my opinion in context.

jrnm, I assume you are talking about the new Krakatoa that is due out this fall, and on backorder at Cabela's now. It is much louder than the original Krakatoa, and clear as can be. It will have the new TX-1000 remote too. If extreme volume is needed by you in windy country, it will be what you need.

To all concerned, I think it would be a good idea to clarify the story about the Krakatoa. The original Krakatoa was just a CS-24 mounted in a 30W TOA speaker. It was naturally much louder than the original 10W CS-24. Both were produced in the FoxPro Custom Shop.

The new Krakatoa is the most powerful ecaller in the CS-24 line, and the most powerful in the entire FoxPro ecaller line. It has a powerful 60W Class D stereo amplifier, all mounted in the 30W TOA. I actually listened to the prototype when I visited FoxPro, and it is so loud and clear that you have to actually see it and listen to it to believe what it can do. Add to that the new TX-1000 remote and you have an ecaller in a class all its own.

Wheres Doggin and his fanaticism

Does it mean that I am a fanatic if I am now worried and concerned that I will not be able to purchase and receive the above mentioned Krakatoa with the above mentioned TX-1000 remote before I leave for Montana the end of September???

DC, I didn't say you were "Lulu"; I said you were a lulu.

venatic, no, I don't think that makes you a fanatic. I doubt you'll be able to get one that soon though.

I thought there was another thread here that stated the cs 24Krakatoa would not be out anytime soon with the TX-1000 remote and it would not be upgradable if you bought a Krak now either.

As far as I know, there will be no upgrades available. As far as when the new Krakatoa with the TX-1000 remote will be available, I know of no set date. However, they are already appearing for backorder in the Cabela's catalog. You can take that for information to determine what you think.
