Egg Shooting

Ive been playing around with my .17 WCH today trying to get it tuned up for the egg shoot at the PM hunt.
and Ive been having so much fun and wanted to post a few pics of what it does when the 25gr. hp hits an egg at 4100 fps.
4100 fps was the last reading off the chrongraph that we had when Kerry shoot the chronograph

I had to put some cardboard behind the eggs so I could see them with the snowy background and about fell over when I hit the first one and seen what it did to the cardboard. thought it was so cool I just had to share it with everyone here on PM.

we wont talk about how many misses lol

I shoot eggs with my kids, they love the explosions!

The best way I have found to have them set up is to use a corrugated cardboard box. Set the box down range, and stick golf tees in the edge of the box, into the corrugation, and put the eggs on the tees. It works great. Don't set them too close together, or the splatter will knock the others off of their tees.

Just an idea to try,

Go Here for more info.

Scott is not only a heck of a guy, he builds one HECK of a rifle. He'll also be at the Convention/Hunt. This is not only an opportunity to win one of his rifles, it's an opportunity to meet him and pick his brain.

Really, this is going to be a heck of a get-together

nice shooting, I read the "new" rules and I guess my calling style doesn't count as "traditional enough" to qualify since my ar comes in at around 16 lbs loaded with the suppressor, and I use a tall bipod when I go out. I have never, nor would I like to start using shooting sticks.
Nice shooting, I'm going to do a little tomorrow myself and see how it goes.

No not quite, you glue the golf tee's to the eggs so none go nowhere till hit.
