I've had my share of Bushnell, I had the 6500 4.5-30 and now own the XRS 4.5-30, amongst several others.
To me, these bushys with the large magnification range like my xrs, they lose a bit of optical quality towards their top end, the last one, two, three or what not power levels don't have quite that vibrant, bright, colorful picture the first 3/4 do.
However, they're tanks, they've got great features, and bonus, you still have the magnification. It's far from unusable on 30 power, very far, so while many others may be 5-25's, I've got 4.5-30; and while they may shine their entire mag range, mine shines from 4.5-25/26 and has another 4-5 to cover my a$$ in further oddball scenarios.
Now in the case of my xrs, at $2k, for another $500'ish you've got the Vortex Razor two 4.5-27 power.
That is probably "the best," in this area if I'm being honest with myself, though you do lose some weight in your wallet with this vortex, it more than makes up for it being a... I believe 4 1/2+ lb optic.
So, I haven't owned your magnification version, but if it's anything like mine I've had, it's probably gorgeous from 2.5-13 and just a good useable optic through those last few levels.
Should be tough, with accurate adjustments, and probably loses out to a more expensive vx6 in the 3-18 power.
So it's a good clean value minded optic with great mag range.
