How good are these for really tight patterning buckshot loads, every shotgun I have seems to shoot high so it is probably me, I hunt deer with dogs so it can be up close or way but but mostly they are stroking when I shoot. Thanks for the help! What mount would you use as well?
 
That all depends on if your shotgun has already been drilled and tapped from the factory or if you need a saddle mount.

Here is my M1S90, it was drilled and tapped from the factory.

I use my sbe for the same thing you mentioned. I added a pattern master choke and it puts the smack down on them with 3.5 double 0's. Shot three with it last year. All but one ran two feet straight down. The other was running when I shot him and he ran about 20 yards further. They were all between 30 and 50 yards.

I don't use any optics. I like just the bead for brush work.

I see you are in NC. What part?

By the way, mine was stolen out of my truck last year around Christmas. Please let me know if you see an all black SBE with a name and a note engraved on the receiver. You'll know it if you see it.
