Eotech on Super black Eagle 2

I'm wanting to put an Eotech on my Super Black Eagle 2. I haven't been able to find much information on the set-up. What is the best and cleanest looking mount for it?

Thanks,
Darrell

The basic #93 Weaver base works fine on my Super 90.
I had to have mine drilled and tapped, but I'm pretty sure your SBE comes D&T'ed from the factory.
Double check the Weaver number, but I'm almost positive the #93 is the one Benelli recommends.

I put an EoTech on a Benelli M4. Of course it already had a pic rail on it.

One of the local legends at our trap club started having eye sight issues and put an EoTech on his Beretta auto loader. It kept him in competition for an extra year or two.

That's nice set-up Beagler.

Here is my SBE 2 that I have set-up with a Burris 336 mount and a Docter sight.

I also have a 20 ga M2 set-up the same way.

The EOTech will actually be going on my Super Vinci. The SBE 2 and the Super Vinci have the same tapped holes and I figured I'd get more response with SBE 2. I'm leaning towards EOTech 512 in APG camo to match my gun.

I have what looks like the same setup as Beagler, except my aimpoint is black. I have a EGW base which is a great base and gives more mounting location options. With the Aimpoint it sits nice and low to the receiver. I have had EOtechs, mounted on various shotguns including my SBE2, but dont like that the EOTechs sight sits so high...just a thought in case that may be an issue.

My buddy has a 512 on his SBE2 and also uses the high gel comb, and the EOTech still seems kinda high for me. I wish Aimpoint came out with a similar reticle to the EOTech, since I find that reticle perfect for turkey hunting. Good luck.

Let me ask you something. Do you like 40mm or smaller scopes? I personally don't mind the 56mm scopes on my rifles. I know the height bothers most folks. That's why I think I might be ok the the EOTech but I am a little nervous about dropping $500 on the wrong set-up. I don't want to have to hold my head off the stock to shoot.

But its for a Benelli!!! How can you say such things Foreman??? LOL

Seroiusly though and getting back to your question...I actually am not too sensitive to scope heights for the most part, and I even had a 56 mm scope(Nightforce) which I loved.

I have a Trijicon 3-9x40 on my AR, but in a Larue mount so it feels just right. The Nighforce was on a Rem 700 and all I used was an Eagle stock pack.

I have the same Aimpoint as Beagler does except in black and I dont believe it is as expensive as an EOTech. I believe theyre around $400. I understand your reservations, I hate buying things only to find out it wasnt what i really wanted.

Ya know, the buddy I was talking about just took his EOTech off today and we put on a trijicon 1-4 scope that he had. Its expensive and a bit of an overkill, but it was awesone. The nice thing about it is that it is true 1x so you can use both eyes open...it has the tritium reticle which is great for night hunts, and it gives the ability to use the other power levels for longer shots. I didnt think I would like it but I may switch to something like it eventually...it was that good. If you put it in detachable rings, like the Warnes, you can use it for other weapons too...like an AR. Geesh, getting carried away now...its too easy spending other peoples money...lol.
