Eotech with magnifier question?

I just installed my 4x magnifier on my AR and it raised a question. I notice that when I look through the magnifier, I can see the top of the 512 Eotech Sight. It's more of a bother than a deal breaker.

What am I doing wrong? It seems that there should be some adjustment to get rid of the "shadow" from the Holographic Sight. I am hoping there is an adjustment to raise or lower the magnifier, but I can't find one. (Only a windage and elevation adjustment for the red dot which does not solve the "problem".)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mines does the same thing. My 3x magnifier came with a small spacer that can be removed on the bottom of the flip over mount. But when I remove the spacer then I can faintly see the bottom of the eotech instead.

I need to have a little shaved off the spacer so it's sits perfectly in the middle. But like you said, it is not that bad and so far I have just been putting up with it.
 
You wil be able to see the edges of the sight in the magnifier. The closer you get the magnifier to the site, the better it will become. The magnifier is round & the site is square so you'll always have that to a smalle extent.

I have mine with the 512 site back enough that I can easily turn on & adjust the 512 site with my fingers. It's not a bad trade off.

The new EXPS site that I have has the side on/off adj. buttons, so the magnifier fits closer & you don't have the shadow of the site as bad.
