I have 2 from midwayusa in the kits they sell, both .223 cal and they both print in the .400" with my 50g vmax loads @ 100 yds.
Borescoped them both when new and they are nice & smooth, sharp cut & no imperfections from one end to the other.
Ill buy them again.

My Model 1 upper in .223 Rem came with a Shaw barrel on it. It will shoot half inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards all the time. That means, yes, all day long. With the right ammo of course.

My .223 AI (what I am holding in my avatar) has a Shaw barrel on it and it gave me my first 700+ yard prairie dog kill. It too will shoot half inch and often less at 100 yards.

My custom .221 Fireball wears a ER Shaw barrel. I have not taken the time to work up loads for it yet but what I have shot so far have hovered around a half inch. I will play with this gun more as time goes by.

I think that ER Shaw barrels are the best bang for the buck barrels out there. I doubt that I have bought my last one.

I've got the same Model 1 upper that Rusty has, and it shoot really well.

My rifle has a harsh DPMS stock trigger and no bipod or rear bag. So its as much of a test of my shooting, so I would love to see this shoot off a sled or set it up with a bipod and rear bag.

Thats holding under an inch and a half at 300.

They are all I run. Expect 4-6 months depending what you want done. Both my shirt chambered, helical fluted threaded barrels took right at 6 months. They shoot well too
