15 of them!

I have been training a couple of Dorn bred dogs for a gentleman, the past 3 months. Gunner decided to climb their kennel and give one of them a little training of his own and got her pregnant. She delivered 15 puppies today. Her first litter and I had to help her all day long.

This is the first time I had an issue like this, where a dog got bred while training them. The owner and I are working out the details to figure out what we're going to do with this litter. I'm just getting the other 2 litters weaned and didn't quite expect to have another. But, the way these two sisters are turning out, I'll be happy to keep a pup or two here.

Thought I'd share.

Tony, there is no doubt, Gunner does his best at everything he does. Looks like you are going to need a case or two of Goats Milk, and some small bottles. Good Luck with all the Pups.

When I was a kid we had a German short-haired pointer that got loose in heat and came home with a surprise a while later. She had a litter of 21 pups over 2 days. Most of them died shortly after birth. The rest went to the SPCA. She fell a while trying to nurse them and broke a hip. Had to put her down. Smartest dog I ever knew. She could stare through you with those brown eyes.

Gunner seems to have a weakness for the shaggy blondes, LOL. You might want to let him out more often to release some of that aggression

Hahaha. Gunner is highly frustrated and whining like a little kid, as I've had to resort to putting him on a chain, the past week. Sam, the black and tan female, is in heat and I cannot let him get with her. I don't care if it's a 12 foot fence...he'll climb it. Put a top on it and he'll dig under it. Loose edge on the cage, he'll pull it loose. He is one of the horniest dogs I've owned.

Brian, Duke inherited Gunner's kennel climbing ability. That little sucker can not only, jump a kennel, but jump in and out of the hunting rig window, while calling. He's a spitting image of Gunner.

Dang thats a ton of pups. A little off-topic, but is it hard training dogs for yotes? I'm sure a bunch of those pups will turn out great.

I wish I could have heard you explaining that one Tony, hopefully he has a sense of humor.

I'm sure as much action as they have been getting, them pups are gonna turn out just fine. I might have to take one of them pups off of your hands this time....lol.

Yeah, all that and pissin on anything and everything.

Yeah...that's not gonna happen. Heck, I just got rid of two started dogs yesterday. Needing to thin down the kennel, not increase it.
