Exploding Beer .22lr 340 yards

It started Life out as a CZ 452 Scout, although It is still a 452 Scout it has had a little work done.

I Replaced the Stock with a Klinsky, also bedded the action into the stock

Did a Yo Dave DIY trigger Job on it. 8oz

DIP rail, Blackhawk rings

SWFA SS MQ 16x scope, USO bubble Level

Haris Bipod.

Rifle weighs 9 pounds 13 oz how you see it in the video

That is sweet! That's what I'm working up to. Is the SWFA repeatable enough to go back to zero?

Thats incredible. Best ive even done is 200 yds at a 2x2 steel with ,my 10/22. Trying to move out further here next weekend. What kind of drop are you getting at that distance, and x2 on ammo.

Yes, It has been an excellent scope. I max out the elevation alot, then back to my 25 yard zero no problem

Impressive, the trajectory must have been a huge rainbow. I've never shot long range with a .22LR but there's still a lot of drop at 100 from a 25 yd zero. Don

I just wish I had that kind of range to try and duplicate it....It would be worth expending a few rounds to try and achieve it with a 60+ year old rifle...

That beer had been a camping cooler for who knows how long... Wasnt about to drink that nasty thing... and besides it was a Bud Light.....

Pretty good Sir Clayne! Are you using the Burris Signature rings for tilt adjustment? I started using them years ago whilst playing with 22 pistols/2X optics to get to longish ranges [the 2x optics have up to 150 MOA of adjustment range). For shimming purposes the offset inserts are really the only practical option i've seen that doesn't put any stress on the system. I have also found that plastic credit card, aluminum and plastic coke bottles make great shim material that allows me to fine tune the system to take full advantage of the turret if the +/- 20 inserts aren't enough.

I also picked up a Bushnell grid boresighter to set up the system even beofre i go to the range, once i find out where the true zero is along the grid. This really is a great little tool for the long-ranger. It tells me whether the turret is repeatable and consistent as well, and allows me to calculate the shim thickness i need by measuring how much DOWN adjustment i still have left to play with once grid zero is established. I just put a 2X Swift pistol scope on my Ruger Mk III, and have 130 MOA of measured UP in it from 50 yd. zero. That nets me 500 yds. with a 22 pistol. Amazing, huh? The 1st shot out of it after grid zeroing only was a 50-yd. head shot on a prairie dog, and my buddy nailed it. Playing around with this stuff is a kick in the butt for sure!

Shame we don't live closer--would be fun to play with this stuff with someone else as no one around here really gets into the math applications to maximize 1st shot opportunity.

Right now the rifle is set up with a zero MOA rail, and normal rings.

I should have bought the 25 moa rail. But did not need it at the time because I bought the rail to be used with the VGM
