Favorite Bobcat Sets

Where in Nebraska are you from?? My favorite ways to catch a cat quickest and easiest snare in a trail, 220 in a bucket, big eyecatchin blown out dirthole, flat set w/bobcat uirne. None of these will work if you ain't got the cats, or if they are off location. fwiw Corey

We haven't got any bobcat up here but for lynx I like to make a cubby under a brushy tree. Then I hang foil and feathers around the tree as attractors. Works well but I have had lynk get to side tracked playing with the attractors. It is legal to use visible bait up here so I use whole snowshoe hares. AW

Thanks for the replys! CW....I live north of Humboldt. Do you catch many with the 220s in the bucket?? Have you had good luck with the cats this year? Have you ever tried to call them? Thanks Gity

I usually catch 6-10 in buckets a year, snares are alot easier and faster for me anyway. How far north of me do ya live? I don't do much calling anymore, not enough time. Corey

CW....Thanks again for the reply. I am way north of Humboldt. We do not have as many cats....How is your coyote population this year? Ours is down A lot. Hardly even see any tracks! I have not set any traps the last couple of years but would like to know more about the bucket method as I used to use them on coon. I assume you elevate the front in some way correct? I have been trying to call cats mostly when I have time and have not had much luck but I keep trying. I thank you for your time and info as it is appreciated! Gity

I like the rock pile location, they will rub their cheek on the lure smeared rocks. These sets take about half of my cats, the rest are in coyote sets.T20
