fawn in distress

Here in Colorado I use it sometimes with mixed results. I think I have been assaulted by crazy mule deer more than I have called in yotes with it though- nothing like a herd of 20 mulies charging into your setup at top speed to make you wonder if your gonna get stepped on! lol.

I have called in a few doubles with it but they seem to respond more carefull than when Im using other calls.

My experience mimics currahee's. It does work well on the deer. I have better results with this call on coyotes in the mountains than on the eastern plains.

it works great in tx.but i also call in alot of deer with it.nothing like having live decoys.i have shot yotes with deer in the same field.

Whats a matter Colton you havin the same luck I am? I think all Im doing is keeping the oil and firearms compamys in buisseness.Gas and bullets gas and bullets gas and bullets.LOL

This last weekend NE Texas was open for doe as well as bucks so I took my ecaller with fawn distress sounds out and Saturday morning I saw at least one coyote (either saw it two times or saw two) and at the very end of the sequence a bobcat. Unfortunately my step-son had taken the rail off the tripod stand I was on and I couldn't steady my rifle long enough to get any shots. So, yes, fawn distress calls do work on varmints.

Called in a Doe & two fawns last Friday when trying for coyote. Those deer hung around for at least 10 minutes - directly down wind of us, too. I'd say if the fawn bleet can call in a momma' doe, it can call in a coyote.
