So how many scopes have you owned? I can put my money where my mouth is, trust me.
I'm thinking anyone who can come up with $100 for a scope, can probably come up with $150 (for a Weaver, of course)and have it be money A LOT more well spent.
I have seen MANY broken scopes in my time. More than most would believe. I started off not knowing myself, and wasted my money on crap also. Just trying to save a member the grief.........
