YellowHammer – That was 40 plus years ago. Heck, we were still using stagecoaches to get between Phoenix and Dallas back then. Now a days Javelina are also game animals in Arizona and you are allowed 1 a year – if you can get drawn.
We call them in all the time with predator calls. During the Globe Hunt I called in a group of 7 with a cottontail distress and another group of 5 the next day with a tweety. For some reason when I do call them in it is usually close to the rocky foot hills. I don’t remember ever calling them in on the flat desert.
