Ok got every thing I wanted to add to my Predator guns.
AR15 home built
Remington 1100
CZ 22Mag
The lights are the New Cree Led types. Bought on Ebay and from Dealextreame web store. The lights are amazing. They give me shooting and ID light out to 100 yards. They weigh nothing and run for 1.4 to 4 hours constant. There is no bulk to them and no wires to get in the way. They will last a lot longer when used as a shooting light
The 1100 also has a laser sight mounted under the barrel which is in the center of the pattern at 35 yards.

Here's some photos

I also put a light mount on my Hornet but didn't have it available for a photo.

you have a laser on that shotgun?
do you hunt with it?
they said lasers we not leagal for hunting but you can use nightvision
has the law changed?
Artificial Lights—It is illegal to hunt with the aid of laser sights.
SPOTLIGHTING
You may use lights to observe deer and bear under

I was advised last year that it was legal. I will verify again this year. The answer I got was that it was ok to hunt predators with a light. Then the officer said that the laser was a projected light so it was legal Except, see below.

Artificial Lights
It is illegal to hunt deer or bear with the aid of any artificial light including laser sights.

Furbearer Hunting at Night
You may hunt furbearers at night, with or without a light, as follows:

Use any handgun or bow.
Use a shotgun loaded with shot (any size).
Use a rifle chambered in any cartridge, except that you may not possess a centerfire rifle afield, during the day or night, during any open season for deer in areas restricted to using a shotgun only for deer.
If hunting without a light, the use of a light gathering ("starlight") scope is legal on any firearm listed above.
NOTE: Westchester County and Long Island - Rifles are not allowed

I asked a DEC officer last year at a predator hunting seminar and he said that it is legal to use the laser sight. I made sure we were talking about the same thing, which projects a laser and puts a dot on the animal, and he said it was legal for predator hunting. Nice looking guns, looks similar to what I bring out. Are those lights White or do they have a red filter?

The lights have slip over filters. I purchaced them separately. I have red, yellow, green and blue for some of them and red and yellow for others.

I think that one of the 700 lumen lights I picked up will actually be good enough for the scanning light.

outdoorsjoe222, I got the same answer last year.

the dec officer in one of the places i hunt is on a major power trip
id swear hes an anti
but
