i have an fx3 im getting a firestorm or fury.what remote will transmit better than my fx3 remote?as in distance- obstacles-the money and extra features on the fury are not factors.thank you for your input.

lexty,

The Fury remote is using FHSS technology, which equates to longer range and more reliability when compared to the FX3 or Firestorm. However, if you are having an issue with the FX3, it may be caused by a number of factors. The range with the FX3 and Firestorm is very good, and should suit almost every predator hunter out there.

The Firestorms will begin shipping this week.

Honestly how much distance do you need? I hunt here in the east and out west and the furthest Ive ever put a call away from me might be a 100 yards at most.....The FX3 will do it and Im sure the Firestorm can handle that with no problem and more....

ditto. even in wide open country the call gets set out maybe 75 - 100 yards, I want them coming in close.

the firestorm cost $419.95 the cs24 cost $499.95 the firestorm comes with the tx9 remote the cs24 comes with the tx500 remote. both come with 50 sounds and both can hold 200 sounds. it looks to me that the only diff. is the remote. any help or comments?

Ten presets on the TX500 versus two presets on the TX9. Each hunter needs to evaluate how important the distance the remote will operate the caller is to them. I have never had the TX500 not operate the caller even when line of sight is not maintained. That is important to me on some of the setups I use.

Foxpro made a post to cover this situation in another thread. The TX500 uses FHSS technology. The TX9 does not. The distance and reliability using that technology is enhanced. The TX9 will operate the Firestorm or new Scorpion far enough to meet the needs of most hunters.

Country boy, Al the possum is trying to say exactly that, but he's being very delicate in how he's saying it. I spose it's got something to do with being a FP field staffer.

I'm in a position I don't have to be quite as delicate as the old possum, so I'll tell ya straight out that the TX9 will NOT *reach out* nor be near as reliable as the TX500 using FHSS.

There is a big difference.

X2 its important to me that my remote to caller response is 100% when im setup. I dont want to have to move around after ive setup just because my caller wont pick up signal from my remote. I was looking at the Firestorm, but for $100 extra I got the CS-24 for this very reason.

And 24 bit audio!!!

My post has nothing to do with being on the Foxpro field staff. We are not required to post anything. Just giving the same information previously posted by Foxpro and a few points about how I evaluate the features. Just trying to help the guys make the best decision they can.
