the 17 viper is a 17 mach 4 with the body length shortened to .935 to give it a 18.1 gr capacity. as i mentioned once before it is chambered in a thompson contender with bullberry wood fore and aft.
this is the first case formed with my new dies.
the 17 pee wee (17/30 carbine) is on the left and the 17 viper on the right.

my 17 pee wee will give 4000 fps with 20 gr bullets. this case holds and extra (18.6 gr)8% more powder than the 17 pee wee (17.1) and the case is stronger and easier to form. the neck has turned out to be the easiest to turn,much easier than the 17 pee wee.
