I also use a 4-14 on my 25-06 and because of it's long range capability I suggest what ever you select make sure it has a side mounted parallax adjustment . This allows very quick adjustment when you set down and survey your field of view. Front mounted rings are ok but not as handy. They are however much cheaper most of the time.
