Never had a problem with them hunting fields.  But last season we were hunting on RR Tracks.  With the Rails and stone I couldn't see past 100 yards.    


I ended up using a varible on about 6x.  


But I'm partial to fixed power copes.

I believe the 36x is what today's benchrest shooters use.  There was a myth awhile back that 36x was too powerful, so some bench shooters  used 24x, but 36x was optimum.  I'd like to try out one of these.
