I got mine at cabelas.

First one I charged it up and the unit would charge but the remote would not.

I called the manufacture and they sent me out a new remote battery no hassel or charge.

I said screw it and sent the whole thing back to cabelas on their dime since it was a defect(cabelas is always top notch and so is their visa customer service so no surprise).

New one came works perfect. Charges great, remote has never given me trouble. Battery life is enough for me but never used it in colder then 40's.

Called a dog in and killed it on the very first stand I used it and have called in a few more since then.

Have a spare remote battery so that is good.

Only complaint is it could be louder. I finish up stands with a loud jackrabbit hand call if it is windy which it always is in the mojave desert.

I only call predators a few times a year, not like some of you at it every week. I can't justify 250-500 for my secondary hunting hobby. 500 bucks is a lot of quail and chukar hunting! I like handcalls just as much but I get a headache after using it all day at high elevations and find they work just as well.
