I have had the above model for about a year and was very happy with it's 3 speaker versatility, loudness and sound library until I lost the remote on a long hike out and could not find it after an extensive search. It somehow fell out of my backpack on the hike as did the rest of the caller when I got back to the rig. I came home thinking, well, there goes another 100 bucks for a remote. When I called the customer service I requested a replacement remote only to be told: "they are all synched at the factory and you cannot use any other remote except the one that came with it". To me, this is a major flaw. It has the push button option on the unit but the sound can be deafening. The big appeal of the e-callers is that you can sit hidden away from it and do your calling. Now I have to toss the entire unit and start over looking for a replacement. It ain't gonna be the Flextone.
