FLIR PS32 J arm Adapter For Helmet

I just got a helmet with the Wilcox mount so I decided to make a J arm adaptor for my FLIR PS32. I used some thin aluminum angle stock from Ace and found a Jarm on Ebay for $30.

This is more or less a prototype. If I am happy with the basic design I may go to a metal fabrication shop and have one made with a side to side slide adjustment.

Now I can go hang out with the Norotos boys.......

Passes the look test. Can't wait to find if it passes the field test. Good job saved a lot of money..

Just send the royaly fee to my patent attorneys.

I was looking at the same one myself, but figured I would just put some lead shot in a baggie and stuff it in a cell phone case I have laying around and tie it on with paracord.

if that works out, I may get the one you are talking about later when I place an order for the D740 or D760. still undecided on that one.

Shurshot...

It seems that the counter balance will need to be changed when configuration changes..... FLIR, PVS14, emitter/no emitter mounted on rail.....etc.

Being able to quickly adjust the weight by adding or removing the plates should be the best setup....I think...Won't know for sure until I try it.

I have to decide if I can stand to wear the helmet first. I didn't like it at all but I didn't have a counter weight either. I just don't want to spend any more money before proof of concept or should I say proof of my perception...
