FLIR PTS736 PTS536 Firmware / Software Help

I just joined this forum because I am getting into predator hunting. I purchased a used Flir Thermosight Pro PTS736 I love it but while searching the web I noticed the firmware and software is not the latest version. In doing research and contacting Flir OTS they will no longer allow me to simply download the latest version they require me to send my scope in. I think this is ridiculous for something I can do in 10 minutes I now have to pay over $100 (with insurance) to ship it there and back, risk it being damaged, lost or stolen and they can’t even tell me when I might receive it back! I know Flir CS has a horrible reputation especially since their decision to leave us civilians out in the cold. SO I am hoping someone out there has copies of the files they downloaded when you were allowed to do this yourself. I believe there are two files with a .BIN extension. I know all models, the 233 536 and 736 use the same files and I know the last versions were put out back in 2019. The last Firmware version is (PBMC1805041435) Software version is (2360) and the Boson Software is (2.0.14857) I guess also, I would like to know what someone with actual experience with their CS would recommend. (1) Do I just send it into them and let them do it? Or (2) since I’m having no issues at all with the scope should I just leave it alone and use it. Did the updates improve your scope? ANY comments, opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the files from 5/2018, but nothing newer. I don't remember it being a major change. If the scope is working, I would probably just leave it alone.

I just updated my Scion unit last week and you have to register your product to get the firmware updates.

That being said, I logged in and went to the firmware support page and the option for scope firmware is not even listed. Evidently the scopes fall under a new program with Teledyne FLIR and they will not release updates to the public.

I agree with Kirsch, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" applies.
