It is a personal defense firearm, designed to defeat body armor and lightly armored vehicles. While some think Vel is everything, I do not. I believe that while the 5.7 may do ok as a varment catridge at close range, it will lack range, and stopping power at anything over fifty yards. While the FN P90 and it's civilian counterpart, looks impressive on TV sci fi programs with out the full auto, it will lack any sort of range to be effective.
