follow up-very lite .223 carbine

Ok back from the range, still colder than snot, but finished breaking in the kel-tec su-16a. To make this short and sweet, it did just what it was supposed to do, no ftf, no fte, it just worked. It was cold enough that i couldn't settle the scope by tapping it, had to fire a couple of rds. instead, so it will shoot in cold weather.
After running a hundred rds. of rem.55 gr.fmj for barrel break in i switched over to some m855/ss109 black tip,(62 gr.fmj) what a difference! The group tightened up to a dime or smaller at 100yrds. I'm not sure if i like the bi-pod, but i didn't buy it for the bi-pod, i probably just need more time to get used to it,(and above freezing weather wouldn't hurt either).
Anyway it will make a good lite packing cabine that should be a yodie getter at 100-200yrds, and the price is right. ...blue
 
Where you shooting 3 or 5 shot groups? I heard that the Kel-Tecs weren't the most accurate carbine but it seems you got a nice one. What did you end up paying for it?
 
I was shooting five shot groups, number four was a half in. from 1-2-3, number five was about was about a in. from #4. These were the last five of 93 shots that day and i had been at the range for about four hrs. It was in the twenty's and to be honest i was cold and tired,when it warms up a little bit i'll go back out and see what happens when i'm fresh.

Might just have to get me one of those. Been thinking of a nice lightweight, packable rifle to keep in my truck, and an AR just didn;t seem like the solution. I realize an AR is a superior firearm, just think that for the money, that maybe it could be just the ticket. I'll PM you blue.
