I shot the Mangey Coyote as it was eating on a healthy coyote I had shot the night before at a dead pile.

One coyote I shot at a different dead pile, went to get it the next morning and found it exactly as pictured. Not 100% sure it was another coyote but I have had it happen 2 times.

Around here it seems the only critters that eat them are buzzards. Our buzzards leave the 3rd week in Nov and return the 2nd week in Feb. Any coyotes l kill (at least the ones l checked on in the past) when they are not here are not touched by anything.

A couple years ago I shot a coyote near the bait site during the night and left it lying. About 20 minutes later I shot a second coyote that was standing over the first, dropping it with the two touching. The first coyote was down the hill further from where it dropped when I shot the second one, and I assume the second one drug it down there. That’s the conclusion I came to since the first was dead and not moving. There was no visible sign of the coyote being eaten, but it had only been 20 minutes to the second kill. I have wondered all along if the second was going to eat the first.

Notice the distance from the first kill to the second.
