Forming 20 Tac brass with Hornady Dies

I'm looking at a 20 Tactical and have been researching brass forming. I have found some reviews that say the Hornady full-length sizer works pretty well for forming brass from unfired .223. Does anyone have any firsthand experience doing so?

I know Redding makes the form die, but they are pretty pricey. I can get the Hornady sizing and seating die set for about half the price of the Redding form die alone. I've used dies from Hornady before with no complaints.

If the Hornady is like my basic Redding you should he fine. I like using a gutted 223 to start the process.

I use hornady and the have worked fine for me forming. I run new 223 straight through. And for once fired 223 I do 2 steps. I take the expander out of a 223 die and run through for first step then run through 20 Tac die for second step.

It really helps on once fired 223, 95% of mine is, but on new it is not really necessary. With the lack of brass, new, and the price I don't mind using the "experinced" stuff.

Have you seen any of that brass lately? Last I saw was about three years ago.

I see the HSM loaded stuff occasionally at Cabelas.
