Fox News gone from dish

Did anyone notice this morning that all the Fox News channels are gone from Dish network? Dish has an announcement running on a loop saying how sorry they are and are working to remedy the contract dispute with 21st Century Fox. But I noticed that beyond the news channels, all other Fox owned channels are still on the air. Interesting. Could if be that IF, Fox News is allowed back, we might be seeing more Obama friendly programming.
 
I will give them a couple days to get it back if not I will be going to direct tv ....I heard the contract had run out and they were still negotiating but time will tell.....the way things have been going I don't expect to be told the truth anyway LOL...Trapperdoc
 
That's what XM & SERIAS did with Fox News Talk,they jacked up the cost and Fox did not come back....I think that Obama's head of the FCC pulled the strings to do it...
 
Have not heard what Fox may be asking for,but all providers pay to carry content.Most of the time it is by subscriber.Usually the more subscribers the cheaper the per-sub rate.Runs into many thousands of dollars per channel.Local broadcast stations can force providers to carry them if they are within the foot print of the station.I would think Fox and Dish will work something out as it is in the best interest of both to do so.
 
It is all a money scramble. I'm happy to say this just happened with CNN and nobody here noticed. CNN is back. Fox will be back. And the cost to customers will shoot up. Bank on it.
 
A few months ago, Dish and my favorite movie channel, TCM, had a dispute and it was off air for maybe a month. Then they came back on. It will be the same with FOX. I like having all the choices to watch on Dish, but don't like the way Dish does business.
